Glasgow Co-ops Meet-up – Christmas special

About the event

Glasgow’s informal co-op meetup, come along to meet other worker co-operators

Christmas special

Our Christmas meet-up on Tuesday 5 December is a special FREE tour of the Cooperative Collections at Glasgow Museums at Kelvin Hall from curator Fiona Hayes. We’ll be celebrating a year (almost!) of Glasgow Coop meet-ups. The tour will begin at 4pm and we’ll book a table nearby for an early festive cooperative supper. Glasgow used to be a thriving centre of co-operation: come and be inspired! Reserve your place HERE

And following an engaging, inspiring intro to sociocracy for beginners (with laughs) at our October meet-up from Jan Baykara from Common Knowledge workers coop, we decided unanimously to kick off the new year in January with a follow-up session. We'll be looking at how we could incorporate the principles of sociocracy in our meet-up group and activities in Glasgow. It's a great opportunity for anyone who missed out in October to catch up on sociocracy for beginners and join in shaping how we do things in our 2024 meet-ups.

Glasgow Co-op Meetup general info

Glasgow worker coops run monthly meet-ups on the first Tuesday of the month, usually at Mono Café Bar or Green City Wholefoods, from 5.30 – 7.30pm. The meet-ups are for worker coops and radical housing coops but any other cooperator or anyone/group interested in starting a coop of any kind is very welcome to join us; and if you're a worker coop visiting Glasgow, come and say hello!

From November, we're trialling a daytime meet-up too for folk who can't make evenings: third Tuesday of the month, at GOMA, 11am - 1pm in the cafe/library downstairs. See separate listing for more info. Just drop in.
