About the event
This is a member only network aimed at anyone working in Marketing within one of our worker co-op members. This session will focus on:
Using images and creative work in your co-op
This session will be supported by the Communications working group.
We all have to use images and graphics in marketing for our co-operatives. We want to share practices with each other, including which images are chosen and why, if and when work is commissioned, and what happens when it doesn't go to plan?
The discussion will be member-led, but some of the discussion points that we will explore together include:
- What happens when you commission an illustration for a project but there's no agreement on intellectual property?
- Where do you or your co-op source images from, do you use stock images, take your own photographs, or use images with creative rights? Have any issues ever arisen?
- What considerations do you make when doing marketing and choosing images especially with people in them? Do you have any guidelines about representation?
- Would you allow Google 365 inside your co-op
- Is anyone using AI, and do any co-ops have any policies on AI?
- What training would be useful for workers.coop to provide to members in this area?
As with a lot of our peer networks, the purpose is to share our knowledge, ask questions and help each other improve our practice. If you can't make it, you can ask questions, make connections and suggest topics for future meetings on our Forum
