Insurance session 1: Webinar and Q&A on business insurance - getting more for less

Insurance is an aspect that all worker co-ops need to think about as part of running a business, and a question that reaches us often. 

We've organised a three part series on insurance for worker co-ops, bringing together practical considerations and social justice perspectives to cover everything a co-op might need to think about, with guest speakers from Howden Insurance Brokers, Ayres Punchard and Boycott Bloody Insurance. These workshops will be guided and led by the facilitator with space for discussion and Q&As to learn from others in the room.

Insurance for worker co-operatives can be tricky, especially where an activity or service is uncommon, high-risk or there are unusual circumstances, such as being community-led. Members who have faced barriers to finding insurance elsewhere have recommended Howden as an insurance broker. Matt Parry is from insurance broker Howden, who've advised and found the right deal for quite a few workers.coop members:
