Expressesions of interest for Autumn Assembly 2025

About the event

The Autumn Assembly brings together worker co-ops from across the UK to build on liberating work, celebrate what we've achieved and identify future opportunities.
This year’s Autumn Assembly takes place over three days in Glasgow, Scotland.
In 2022 we did someting amazing: we created a federation that we own and that we alone are responsible for. Our Autumn Assembly is an opportunity for members and supporters to meet up, learn, share and take stock as we continue to create our collaborative, democratic systems within and beyond the worker co-op federation.
There are several events in the Autum Assembly and you can take part in all of them or just some - but you need to tell us which you are coming to:

Thursday 20 November

A half-day event on worker co-ops in sectors of economic disadvantage such as cleaning, homecare, hospitality, agency work.  We'll hear from successful cooperatives in these sectors and discuss what would be needed to support the development of new worker co-operatives in these sectors here in Glasgow.
The event is open to individuals, co-operatives and other interested organisations.
Thursday evening is a welcome social for anyone attending the Autumn Assembly with a screening of Ken Loach film "Sorry we Missed You".

Friday 21 November

The Autumn Assembly brings together local, Scottish and UK-based worker co-ops and friends.
Come along to:
  • Meet and get to know other worker co-ops, expanding your cooperative and business network
  • Be inspired by, and learn from, the experiences of others from a wide range of worker co-ops from across the UK
  • Discuss your co-op's working challenges with other co-ops in a supportive environment
  • Deepen your understanding of your own and other worker co-ops
  • Find out what the federation is doing and how you can get involves
  • Share your thoughts on what support your co-op needs
  • Sign up for 1:1 coop advice from a cooperative business development adviser
  • Have a say on the future direction of workers.coop
The day's event is followed by a big party. Ceilidh anyone?

Saturday 22 November

Wear comfortable shoes and you may need waterproofs or an umbrella.
Length of walk: 2.2 miles
