Insurance session 2: How Not to Betray Your Cooperative Values

About the event

Join this online session with Chris Welsford from Ayres Punchard to learn more about the social justice behind your co-op's insurance and pensions

Insurance is an aspect that all worker co-ops need to think about as part of running a business, and a question that comes up often.

We've organised a three part series on insurance for worker co-ops, bringing together practical considerations and social justice perspectives to cover everything a co-op might need to think about, with guest speakers from Howden Insurance Brokers, Ayres Punchard and Boycott Bloody Insurance. These workshops will be guided and led by the facilitator with space for discussion and Q&As to learn from others in the room.

Session 2

In the second workshop on insurance for worker co-ops, we will be welcoming facilitator, researcher and advocator Chris Welsford from Ayres Punchard who will talk about complicity in crimes against humanity found in pension and insurance type services that many co-ops may be affilitated to without realising. This follows on from a popular workshop at the June Worker Co-op Weekend. Chris will present the workshop and allow space for discussion, questions and reflection at the end of the session.
