Join our Events Group
Our events groups is fairly flexible, and has loose ways of working. It began by building on an existing informal open group of members who met reguarly to support the Autumn Assembly 2024. Since then, the way that members and individuals have contributed to the events planning has been fluid and ad hoc, drifting in and out as capacity allowed and playing smaller or bigger roles. We've found it helpful to facilitate the online meeting spaces and group chats for the organising to happen, in what's loosely called the events working group.
Purpose:
To oversee the design and delivery of workers.coop conference and event porgramme. Creating a space for our members and those interested in worker cooperation to come together. To learn, share and do business together. Most importantly, to build a community, celebrate our successes and work on our challenges.
Domain:
- To design the overall concept of our conference programme
- To create and deliver event plans to meet the needs of our members and overall strategy.
- To be accountable for a budget ensuring enough income is raised from ticket sales, grants and sponsorship to cover the cost of delivering the event/s
How this group works:
The group is currently open to support the build up to the Autumn Assembly this November in Glasgow. The main organising is being carried out by Scottish co-operators however there is lots to do and any help is appreciated.
