Join the first Movement Building working group meeting to explore and discuss its potential and set up or see what it's all about.
Background
The Movement Building working group has been set up with a strategic remit to oversee the following domains.
- Building a grass roots base of worker cooperative organisers and supporters
- Developing, compiling and disseminating educational and promotional resources to make the system of worker control and worker ownership more relevant and accessible to new workers
- Participating in national and international cooperative networks and campaigns
- Making alliances with other social and environmental movements
These were previously worked on by the old working groups structure including Mobilising working group, which will merge into the Movement Building group.
Meeting information
You are welcome to attend or observe this meeting if any of the domains are things you currently work on or want to get involved with.
We encourage people new to, and not currently members of, workers.coop or other working groups to come along. We are looking to expand the numbers and remit of this working group.
